O & K

O & K were the "in-between" wedding I mentioned in my last post... so they weren't exactly "now" they were a few months back (hence the fall leaves) but they have fewer than the 6,000+ photos that were my undertaking of my brothers wedding ... and seriously, choosing a handful of photos to post on the blog from 6,000 is kind of crazy... even from the 2,500 we narrowed those 6,000 to is pretty crazy! But, I will get to it... soon! :)
So we begin (hopefully on the right foot!) with O & K... these two were up for ANYthing! which is SO fun for a photographer! They gave me freedom to shoot wherever my little heart desired... (well within reason of thier ceremony and reception of course!) we made for downtown Hanford, a beautiful open field at sunset, and that gorgeous orange orchard (leaves, not fruit).  Beautiful couple.  So much fun to shoot! Congrats you two, I hope you have been enjoying your photos!

'bout time

ok, ok... I know its been FOREVER since I last posted... but, it got to the point that I was so far behind and wanting to post about things that happened so long ago that I kept putting it off-thinking "I'll catch it all up at once"- Lord knows that didn't happen!  and believe me I've given myself enough grief over what my "next post" should be... do I sum-up my Christmas season?,  post about my brothers wedding?, or the thousand other things that happened along the way? and then there was the feeling that it better be worth months of waiting for... and well, time just flies when you have a business at Christmastime, and are a mom, and a wife, and well... you get the picture :) so I've decided to just try to start from the NOW... posting as often as I can find the time, and trying to keep you all updated on the happenings over here at 317.
BUT...  lets face it folks, I've never been a great blogger... I'm always behind here ;)  I'd like to say I turned over a new leaf and will be posting regularly, but I'm not going to make promises that will most likely be broken... I know I said I'd post my brothers wedding, and I will get to it... but I may post of the few "now" things first... so there will be an "in-between" wedding to satisfy you until then!
... look for j+j the wedding soon...
and hopefully a new blogger-friendly me in the near future!  :)

:)
so over the summer i was asked to go shoot Lonestar at their free summer in the park series.  Now, this was a treat in itself- being that I'm a country fan, remember, but I actually got to hang out with the guys before and after the concert!! What a blast!  can't wait until their new album comes out .. soon!

Elizabeth Anne Designs

We got an email last week announcing the new EAD library... these ladies have got to be one of the most amazing wedding resources out there... they are jam-packed with everything wedding related!!
Here is the info about the launch of their new EAD library.... give yourself an hour or so to look through their site (seriously!) you'll need that much time to soak it all in...
{We are incredibly excited to announce our new project, the EAD library.  After months of development and research, we are launching a new resource for brides tomorrow, Tuesday July 22nd.  The library is filled with hundreds of useful links, from photographers to shops to stationers.  Our goal is a simple, comprehensive list of vendors.  The library will help every bride, no matter her location, find the vendors and inspiration she needs for a beautiful event.}

We heard this past week that our photos made one of the top three finalists for the Central Coast Bride's Magazine "Bridal Idol" competition.  To be honest, if it weren't for Mary at the Villa Toscana, I might not have entered the photos... and now we're a finalist! YAY!!! :)   The first place wedding will be featured in the next issue due out this fall.... don't foget to go visit the site and vote for Rachel and Antonio!!
